⚠ Safety & Operating Precautions
Installing firmware compiled for a different display panel code (e.g. CSOT vs BOE) will cause inverted colors, negative solarized display, or a black screen with sound.
The most critical rule in Smart TV software repair is that television brands frequently source multiple internal motherboards and panel assemblies for the identical exterior model number across different manufacturing quarters.
Three-Point Matching Verification:
- Brand & Model: Primary identifier on the back cover.
- Motherboard Part Number: Stenciled white text on the circuit board (e.g.,
TP.MS338.PB801,CV358H-A50). - Display Panel Code: Located on the metal panel frame sticker (e.g.,
HV320WHB-N86,ST5461D04-1).
If your motherboard number matches but the panel code differs, the TV will boot successfully but display an inverted, solarized, or mirror image. In such cases, an engineering Project ID (PID) adjustment is required.
