Root Causes
Open-circuit LED backlight strip (burned LED bead), blown backlight inverter fuse on mainboard, or shorted ceramic capacitor on T-Con/Scaler board.
Step-by-Step Diagnostic & Repair Steps
Ask Technician via WhatsApp- Flashlight Test: Shine a smartphone torch closely against the TV screen at an angle while playing video. If faint ghost image is visible, the LCD panel is fine and the backlight array has failed.
- Measure LED boost voltage on mainboard LED driver header (should spike to 60V-120V on turn on).
- Check 12V fuse on T-Con / panel PCB.
When is Firmware Flashing Required?
