Westinghouse TV Firmware, Software & Models

Manufacturer Profile & Architecture

Westinghouse Electric, an American brand with roots tracing to the original Westinghouse Electric Corporation founded in 1886, licenses its television branding regionally; in India, Westinghouse-branded TVs are manufactured by Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd (SPPL), the same Noida-based licensee behind Thomson, Kodak and Blaupunkt. Westinghouse entered India's market through this partnership targeting the affordable LED TV segment, sold largely through Amazon. Like SPPL's other licensed brands, Westinghouse televisions in India run Android TV on shared manufacturing platforms, so common firmware files, motherboard part numbers and repair procedures typically overlap with Thomson, Kodak and Blaupunkt models from the same factories.
